Conceptual Studies in Fashion Illustration and Textile Design

The Tailor Made Project is an exploration of identity through fashion, design, and craftsmanship. In this collection of prints, I invite viewers into the foundational stages of creating custom garments that reflect how I want to present myself in the world.

These conceptual illustration studies serve as blueprints—both literally and figuratively. They are the groundwork for a deeper investigation into textile design, style, and garment creation.

What you see here is a byproduct of my journey to move beyond simply decorating blank garments and towards crafting original pieces from scratch.

This project traces back to 2006, when I was first introduced to the world of decorating T-shirts. Over the years, I designed and developed streetwear brands, with screen printing serving as the entry point. While this method offered an accessible way to develop a brand, it often felt creatively limiting, as it was confined to printing designs on pre-made, blank garments.

After years of working with ready-made garments, I realized I wanted more control and freedom in how I create my wardrobe. So I decided to take on the full challenge: from sourcing raw materials to cutting custom patterns. Each step in the process reflecting my desire for authenticity and freedom in design.

The prints displayed here are more than studies—they are glimpses into the intricate world of garment-making, offering a behind the scenes look at the process and journey behind designing a wardrobe that is tailor-made for me.
